If the World Was a 100-Person Village...

If the world could be shrunk into a single village with a
population of 100 people, what would it look like? According to a
source on the Internet, if the ratios of different groups
remained the same, it would look like this:
- There would be 57 Asians, 21 Europeans, 14 Americans (North
and South), and 8 Africans.
- There would be 51 females and 49 males.
- There would be 30 whites and 70 non-whites.
- There would be 30 Christians and 70 non-Christians.
- 6 people all of them U.S. citizens would own 50 percent of
all the wealth of this village.
- 80 people would live in sub-standard housing.
- 70 people would be illiterate.
- 50 people would be malnourished.
