Many people shared their talents and creativity this semester in various ways to bring a slate of great international programming to Cosmo. I wish to thank the Cosmo Residents for their generous and spirited participation, especially Sachie Kamida, Virginie Lassale, Ana-Marie Popa, Daniella Van den Bogaart, Sahin Acar, Julio Urbina, Ivan Feitl, Daniel Schunk, and Min-Chul Jung. Non-resident presenters of programs included Ruxandra Costescu, Claudia Rodrigues, Josh Nickel, Laura Fernandez, Luis Lupian, the Hellenic Student Association, the Singapore Student Association, Lara Alferova, Menjiwe Winfield, and Shao Hsai along with many of their friends who teamed up with them to present some stellar events. For each person who organizes a Cosmo event, there are many friends who form the team of co-workers and co-cooks who help with the organizing, planning and logistics. I thank all these unnamed people as well. A special thanks to Hee-Jung Kim for her lovely chamber music performances after the German dinner, and to the Illinois Opera Department lead singers who performed after the French dinner. I also wish to thank the Cosmopolitan Club Board of Directors and its President, Susan Taylor, for their loyal and generous support and assistance throughout the semester. This group of devoted Cosmo supporters has given generously of their time and energy for a number of years to insure the longevity of the Club and make sure it's mission is carried out through the day to day activities at 307 East John Street. The following are snapshots from some of the coffee hours and dinners at 307 E. John St. throughout the semester.
