One week ago I was witness to the most kind and sweet showing of affection by great friends that I left last summer across the ocean in a small town named Champaign-Urbana located in Illinois. Can you guess who I am talking about? Ask the Cosmo residents and their friends. They are all guilty of this!! As a matter of fact, seasons come and seasons go, indeed. Summer rains turn into snow (which you may see very soon), but no matter where you live or how far you go...friends are forever. Who are these unconditional friends? They are those who make their meetings at the Cosmo House, and also give surprise parties. Most of all they are capable of changing people's lives once you meet and share times with them...because they are able to give of themselves and to others without any personal interest. Then, you just cannot stop such emotion!
I have not seen my friends since the last days in August when I came back home after a big and noisy farewell party they threw for me. But that doesn't mean I don't think about them. No way! This feeling is getting stronger day after day and is part of my everyday life. Memories of lovely times at the Cosmopolitan Club when we savored life like fireworks. I realized this when I called my friends last Monday night during the middle of a coffee hour which made it convenient to be able to talk to almost all of my friends. What an exciting experience. I thought I was in Champaign as before, calling from the Quad, talking things out, and sharing truths I had deeply inside on me. I cherish the times of togetherness. Nothing compares to that wonderful feeling of hope and joy they gave me in just a few minutes.
I hope that we may always be close and that nothing will come between the bond of love we share. Every morning when the day begins, though other friendships may fade or end, we will still make wonderful memories, share truths and talk things out. I have a treasure chest of poetic moments, original and charming memories that you all have given me.
