Cosmo Achievers


Cosmonaut Lev-Arie Ratinov and choreographer Kate Insolia put together a critique of late capitalism by contrasting the success of the capitalistic model with displacement of people it brings about. All this, through a dance performance entitled “It’s a Good Year”! The performances were held on Oct 22 and 23 in downtown Champaign.


Nazuna Morimoto’s humming has provided the background score for many conversations in the house. On Nov 2, however, this Black Chorus member made us proud by performing as part of the 100-member choir at Smith Hall. Nazuna also performed with her group at a Christmas concert held at Krannert on Dec 7.


It’s difficult to catch hold of Karin Axelsson, unless you can run 30 miles an hour, come rain, hail or snow. Karin was rewarded for being so fast on her feet when she secured the second position at a mini marathon hosted on campus in Oct this year.
