307 East John Street Is the A. Epstein International Center

Ray and Sid Epstein

Ray and Sid Epstein stand beside the portrait of their father, Abraham Epstein, in the living room of the Cosmopolitan Club House. Their father was an active, founding member of the Club in the first decade of the last century. The A. Epstein International Center became the official name of the house at 307 E. John St. (which is commonly referred to as the Cosmo House), in May of 1991. These two sons of Abraham Epstein gave funds to help pay for the extensive renovations to the house in the early 1990s, thus enabling the club to remain open as a residential and programming facility these past twelve years.

We wish to extend our thanks to Sid Epstein, and the Epstein family, for supporting the club's mission through generous financial contributions which help support the ongoing cultural programs and activities taking place at 307 E. John St., Champaign, the A. Epstein International Center.
