I hope everybody is fine. Here in Tokyo it's colder than normal this year, but it must be nothing compared to Illinois. This weekend was my birthday of 23 years old, so I and my mother went to the country-side to take hot-spring. We stayed at a hotel just one night and we took a bath seven times during our short stay. It was really crazy. Maybe you cannot believe, but taking bath SERIOUSLY wastes a lot of energy. I am so exhausted now. I guess Japanese people love taking bath, especially hot spring. We don't think it's wasting to spend money to stay country-side just for the spring, or to waste water for it. One of the most shocking things in Illinois was I could not take bath in dorm. So many people didn't feel necessity to use bath tub in America! (Surprising) Actually normal young people don't have interest in going hot spring as me. So I took bath among old ladies who were speaking dialects, that is hard to understand for me. Now I feel I am like elders, and well prepared to get older and older! (Elders looked so peaceful, never get excited like me! I respect them so much for that.) |
